Dear Babagolers, it's Uri here.
In the past week, we, and Israel, the place from which we write about football to the world, experienced our most difficult hour. Bloodthirsty terrorists of Hamas murdered thousands of innocent Israelis, men, women, babies and elderly people. They raped hundreds of women and abused and abducted more than a hundred innocent civilians that did not harm anybody.
These events wounded (and still wound) our souls, as some of us personally know and have relatives who are the victims, who were murdered, injured and kidnapped in this horrifying massacre.
We couldn't talk about football stories during this time. We barely managed to relate to any events in the football world. In the most real and honest way, we simply could not. Something in our souls was murdered, along with those who were there. At the same time, some of us were, and still are, busy helping, defending and protecting our people.
At BabaGol, we always push to keep things REAL, containing complex situations and opinions in football and general. As a media organization with partners and followers from across the Middle East, together, we bow our heads to the death of all innocent lives.
We won't stop covering football from across the Middle East, but at this moment, we have stopped publishing programs as we mourn and pray for better days.
When the guns roar, the muses are silent.
We'll be back. Stronger, smarter, and safer.
Yours, Uri and Team BabaGol
