The Faroe Islands Premier League is starting this weekend.
It will be the second European league to play during the coronavirus pandemic, after Belarus.
There are some mesmerising views on the island located between Iceland and Scotland, and you can see them during the league matches.
Here is a quick trip around the islands' magnificent stadiums.
Gundadalur, Tórshavn
This is the biggest stadium in the league. Located just nearby the national stadium Tórsvøllur. Two teams are playing in this stadium, B36 and HB. There is an additional smaller ground in the complex, which hosts lower league matches.
Við Djúpumýrar, Klaksvík
Klaksvík is the main industrial city on the island and the home of KÍ. The team is the reigning champion after winning the title for the first time since 1999. The local stadium has been recently renovated in order to meet UEFA requirements for hosting international matches.
Við Løkin, Runavík
The city of Runavík is known for its local port and the large salmon farming companies in the area. The local club, NSÍ Runavík, won the domestic league only once in 2007 but can be proud of their decent home stadium.
Fløtugerði, Fuglafjørður
ÍF is one of the oldest clubs in the Faroe Islands, established in 1946. Nevertheless, they won only one title -a championship in 1979. The team could at least be pleased with the scenes from their home stadium, and try not to kick the ball away to the sea.
Sarpugerði, Gøta
The city of Gøta is known for hosting the biggest music festival in the Faroe Islands. The local club has some glory as well. Víkingur won the title twice since its establishment in 2008. Behind the stadium, you can see Eggin Mountain, one out of hundreds of mountains in the area.
Svangaskarð, Toftir
B68, the local club of Toftir, has been relegated from the top division in 2012, but this stadium is still in use by some of Faroe Islands' top clubs. Most of the stadiums in the Faroe Islands don't meet UEFA requirements, and this stadium is an alternative home ground for the teams in the continental competitions.
